Responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operations of Avnet’s Solutions Distribution business in India and the computing component business in Asia Pacific, Jaideep Malhotra holds Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering Degree from Bangalore University.
Jaideep has over 15 years of experience with Avnet and a broad background in the technology industry, spanning from his early career as sales engineer in electronics marketing to leading a multi hundred million dollar sales and marketing organization in the technology solutions across Asia Pacific.
Jaideep joined Avnet in 1993 as a sales engineer in India, and his career evolved to encompass sales and marketing roles in Asia region with the company, including serving as a field sales engineer, account manager, marketing manager, product business manager and business unit’s managing director, vice president of sales and vice president & general manager.
He was the recipient of the Avnet Chairman's Award in 2005 in recognition for his outstanding contribution and leadership towards the growth of Avnet Technology Solutions business in the Asia Pacific region. In 2008, Jaideep was instrumental in Avnet's acquisition of Ontrack Solutions which gave Avnet a footprint in the solutions distributions space. His major role in India is to ensure that Avnet becomes the premier solutions distributor in the country while at the same time he will also drive the strategic growth of Avnet's Indian operations |
